Purdue’s Lance Jones sent his team into halftime on a high note with an incredible buzzer-beater.

The Boilermakers are facing Marquette in the Maui Invitational Championship on Wednesday with a chance to start the year at 6-0.

Jones caught the inbound pass and heaved it from Purdue’s side of the court. Zach Edey’s reaction tells you everything you need to know. Money.

Jones came to West Lafayette from Southern Illinois, where he spent the majority of his college career. Jones averaged 13.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists last season.

He has started every game so far for Purdue this season averaging 9.2 points, 3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists.  Jones shot 40% from the floor ahead of the Marquette game.

Edey and Braden Smith were the 2 top scorers for the Boilermakers during the 1st half.

Purdue beat Tennessee 71-67 in the semifinal round on Tuesday. Fletcher Loyer led the team in scoring with 27 points.

It’ll be pretty hard to outdo that buzzer-beater in the 2nd half.
