One of the greatest Indiana basketball coaches in the illustrious history of the state is getting his due.

Purdue coach Matt Painter is being elected into the 60th edition of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame on March 23, 2022.

Painter is in his 17th season at Purdue and has guided the Boilermakers to five Sweet 16 appearances, 12 NCAA Tournament berths, three Big Ten regular-season championships and a Big Ten Tournament title.  Painter has amassed a 355-184 record during his time at Purdue.
