Wisconsin had no answer for Purdue’s 7-foot-4 center on Tuesday night.

Zach Edey scored 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the floor, leading the Boilermakers to a 73-29 victory at Mackey Arena. Edey also grabbed 7 rebounds and made 5-of-7 free throws off the bench.

Jaden Ivey was the team’s second-leading scorer with 18 points and Aaron Wheeler had a big night off the bench, dropping in 11 points while knocking down all 3 of his attempts from 3-point range. The victory marked the fourth straight for Purdue.

The Badgers had four players in double figures, but it still wasn’t enough to leave West Lafayette with a win. Brad Davison led the way with 15 points and Nate Reuvers, Aleem Ford and Micah Potter all scored 11 in the loss. D’Mitrik Trice had 10 points on just 2-of-10 shooting from the floor.

Edey’s 21-point performance was the best of his freshman year at Purdue thus far. It marked the eighth time he’s reached double figures on the season and was the highest point total he’s produced since the season opener against Liberty when he had 19.

With the win, the Boilermakers improved to 17-8 on the season and are 12-6 in B1G play, clinging to a No. 4 seed in the conference tournament right now. Purdue closes out the year on Saturday against Indiana.

Wisconsin dropped to 16-10 and 10-9 in the league. The Badgers travel to No. 5 Iowa in their season finale.
