Purdue center Zach Edey continues to dominate in the FIBA U19 games this summer.

In Canada’s most recent game against Spain, Edey recorded an impressive double-double, scoring 24 points and grabbing 15 rebounds in an 81-77 victory. He also had 4 blocks and a steal. Eight of his rebounds came off the offensive glass.

Not only did Edey put up big numbers, he was incredibly efficient. He made 7-of-10 shots from the floor, knocked down 10-of-15 free throws and played just under 26 minutes for the game.

Edey has been outstanding in the FIBA U19 games through the first five games. He’s averaging 15.6 points, 14.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per contest. The 24 points against Spain was his highest total of the event, but he grabbed 17 rebounds against Senegal, his best performance on the glass.

Thanks to Edey’s major contributions, Canada is a perfect 5-0 so far. It has posted victories over Lithuania, Japan, Senegal, Puerto Rico and Spain.
