Raheem Mostert has been a game-changing performer for the Miami Dolphins this season. Now, the former Purdue contributor has a franchise record to his tally after 2 more touchdowns on Sunday.

Facing the New York Jets, Mostert delivered a short rushing touchdown to open the scoring in the first quarter. He was able to add on before halftime, hitting the pylon with a minute to go before the break for his 20th touchdown from scrimmage this season.

Along the way, Mostert has set a new single-season record for total touchdowns with the Dolphins. His 19th score of the season pushed him ahead of Mark Clayton for the franchise record, and his 20th touchdown adds to Mostert’s record.

Making Mostert’s season more remarkable, he entered 2023 with 19 career touchdowns across 8 seasons played. He’s now the first player in NFL history to record a season with 20+ touchdowns after having less than 20 career touchdowns with at least 4 seasons played.

Entering Sunday’s game, Mostert had 924 rushing yards, 16 rushing touchdowns and 2 receiving touchdowns. He also had 5 games with at least 2 touchdowns prior to recording 2 first-half touchdowns against the Jets.

At this point, Mostert and the Dolphins also have their sights set on the NFL Playoffs behind an explosive offense led by QB Tua Tagovailoa.
