Reese Taylor, veteran Purdue DB, reveals plans for 2023 season
Reese Taylor announced what his plans are for the 2023 season. It will be a new era in West Lafayette with Ryan Walters taking over.
Taylor broke the news from his Twitter account, declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft on Friday. Taylor appeared in all 13 games for Purdue this season and recorded 34 total tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 interception.
Taylor originally spent the majority of his career with Indiana, but transferred to in-state rival Purdue in December of 2021. Taylor thanked everyone at Purdue who helped him along the way.
“I want to thank Purdue, my teammates, coaches, staff and fans for trusting me to me make an impact in West Lafayette. The bonds that were created within the process will be unforgettable. I am very excited to say I am taking the next step and declaring for the NFL Draft. On to the next chapter.”

Purdue finished the 2022 season with a loss to LSU in the Citrus Bowl.
