Purdue athletics has already locked down Jeff Brohm with a contract extension, and announced renovations for Ross-Ade Stadium. Renovations for Mackey Arena are up next.

The renovations to Mackey Arena will cost $6.7 million and will go towards the locker rooms, player lounges, and Wooden Club per Tom Dienhart of Rivals. Purdue’s Board of Trustees approved funding. The most recent renovations to Mackey Arena were in 2017.

Those renovations included the center video board and stat being upgraded and replaced. LED ribbons were also installed above both of the baselines. The last time that the men’s basketball player lounge was upgraded was back in 2003. Locker rooms were upgraded just before that in 2002.

Dienhart tweeted out the news on Friday morning.

The Boilermakers have been waiting on these renovations for a long time. The renovations are set to begin at the end of the 2022-2023 season.
