Hodges worked as an assistant player personnel director during part of the Urban Meyer era at Ohio State. He was also an analyst and a strength and conditioning coach during his time with the Buckeyes. He left Columbus after the 2018 season to join the Boilermakers.
Hodges and Purdue parted ways in early January. Here’s a note he sent out on Twitter to players at Purdue:
To the Players:
I love you all more than you know. I’m forever in your corner. Like I said when I recruited you all. This relationship is until God puts me in the ground.
To Boiler Nation:
It’s been an absolute pleasure. Take care of my players
