Purdue football will reportedly have a new defensive analyst on their staff. Brandon Sharp will be joining the team in the role per the Tom Dienhart of Rivals.

Sharp played CB at Louisville from 2003-2006. His most recent stint was with Florida A&M as a Co-defensive coordinator. Before Florida A&M, Sharp was the passing game coordinator/ safeties coach/CB coach at Prairie View A&M. He also had similar roles at Henderson State and UAB, as well as a graduate assistant position at Arkansas.

The Boilermakers allowed 20.5 points, 194.6 passing yards, and 146.9 rushing yards per game in 2021. Sharp’s hire could go a long way in helping Purdue compete for a B1G West title once again.

This will be his 2nd Power 5 opportunity as a staff member.
