Purdue will be one of three heavyweight programs participating in the 2021 Hall of Fame Tip-off Tournament. CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein revealed the field on Friday.
North Carolina, Tennessee and Villanova will join Purdue in the multi-team event, which is to be held at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. The event is scheduled to start on Nov. 20, with the winners and losers playing each other the next day.

Purdue will play North Carolina while Tennessee will take on Villanova. It will be a fun tournament early in the season between some of the nation’s top programs.
The Boilermakers are expected to be one of the top teams in the country in 2021-22, returning over 90% of its minutes played from last season. Despite having one of the youngest teams in the country last season, Purdue finished fourth in the B1G standings and earned a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
