It sounds like Purdue should have its starting quarterback returning under center as it opens B1G play today.

According to multiple reports, Elijah Sindelar was taking repetitions with the first team offense during warm ups ahead of Saturday’s B1G opener against Minnesota on Saturday at Ross-Ade Stadium. Mike Carmin of the Lafayette Journal & Courier was one of many to report the news.

Sindelar missed Purdue’s game against TCU due to a mild concussion. The Boilermakers had an off week last Saturday, allowing the quarterback to get an extra week to recover.

Sindelar has thrown for 932 yards and nine touchdowns in two games for Purdue this season. The Boilers are 1-1 win Sindelar at quarterback, and 1-2 overall.

The Boilermakers went with Jack Plummer two weeks ago against TCU. We’ll see if Sindelar goes the whole way or if Jeff Brohm uses a two-quarterback system against the Golden Gophers.

Minnesota enters the game with a 3-0 record.
