A Montvale, New Jersey native and St. Joseph Regional product, Alaimo was a 4-star recruit on the 247Sports Composite in the class of 2020. He chose Purdue over 16 other scholarship offers, including Michigan State and Rutgers. Alaimo appeared in the UConn game of the 2021 season, recording a rush for negative yardage and no other statistics. He did not play in 2020.
Entering the transfer portal does not bind Alaimo to leave, but his scholarship is no longer guaranteed upon entering the portal.
