Rondale Moore is heading into his 2nd NFL season. He had a status update before Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs per Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus.

The former Purdue wideout will be ruled out for the season opener with a hamstring injury. He played in 14 games last season. Moore had 435 yards receiving and 1 touchdown as a rookie.

The Cardinals WR room will look at little different this season compared to 2021. DeAndre Hopkins will be suspended for the first 6 games of the 2022 season after testing positive for PED’s. However, the team now has Marquise Brown after a trade with the Baltimore Ravens.

The Arizona Cardinals made the playoffs last season, but lost to the eventual Super Bowl winning Los Angeles Rams 34-11 in the Wild Card.

Moore broke the record for yards after catch through the first 2 weeks of the season with 157 as a rookie. It has been said that he will get more opportunities in the Cardinals’ offense this season, and for good reason.

The Arizona Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS.
