Yanni is a 4-star prospect from West Lafayette. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he’s the No. 260 player in the country and the No. 15 outside linebacker in this class.

George has had a rough 2020 campaign, but he excelled as a true freshman. In his first season with Purdue, he recorded 17 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, 2 pass deflections and a forced fumble.

However, he’s played in just two games this season due to a variety of reasons.

Yanni’s commitment to Purdue will surely give the Boilermakers some momentum for this upcoming season. Purdue went 2-4 this year, but there’s still plenty of reasons to be excited about the future under coach Jeff Brohm.

Yanni is far-and-away the best commitment to due in Purdue’s 2021 signing class. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, this class is No. 83 nationally and No. 14 in the Big Ten. After Karalaftis, the next best player is ranked No. 707 in the composite.

Purdue’s regular season is over but the boilermakers could play in a bowl game this winter.
