Purdue’s roster has taken some hits in the B1G opener.

On Saturday afternoon, the Boilermakers lost three key players in the first half to injury against Minnesota. Wide receiver Rondale Moore, quarterback Elijah Sindelar and offensive lineman D.J. Washington all departed at some point in the first half.

Sindelar suffered an apparent shoulder injury, and returned to the sidelines but didn’t appear to be dressed and ready to re-enter the game. Moore, who sustained a knee injury on the same play, was carted off the field out of the injury tent.

Washington also had to be carted off the field after suffering a late first half injury.

Purdue has battled numerous injuries during the preseason and throughout the early 2019 season. It seemed like things were getting a little better with Sindelar returning after spending the last game sidelined with a concussion.

Right now, the Boilermakers are severely depleted and were already without their two best defensive players Markus Bailey and Lorenzo Neal. These three early departures certainly don’t help things in West Lafayette.
