One sports betting website has tabbed Purdue has having the most difficult schedule in college football for the 2020 season.

SportsBettingDime.com recently released of the top 25 most-difficult schedules in college football for the upcoming season. Using a proprietary strength-of-schedule formula, the Boilermakers will have the toughest schedule of any team in the sport. Several B1G teams ranked in the top 20.

Here’s a look at how team’s ranked using the strength-of-schedule formula:

  • No. 1: Purdue
  • No. 3: Michigan
  • No. 4: Nebraska
  • No. 6: Iowa
  • No. 7: Michigan State
  • No. 10: Wisconsin
  • No. 12: Northwestern
  • No. 14: Ohio State
  • No. 17: Indiana
  • No. 19: Maryland

Ten of the 14 B1G programs made the top 25. The four teams omitted were Illinois, Minnesota, Penn State and Rutgers.

Purdue opens the season on the road against Nebraska before returning home to play Memphis, a team that appeared in a New Year’s Six bowl game last year. The Boilermakers will also play Boston College and Air Force in non-conference games.

In 2020, Purdue will play nine teams that were bowl eligible a year ago. Seven of those opponents won at least eight games in 2019 and five hit the 10-win mark.
