Vegas computer predicting extremely tight finish in Purdue's trip to Nevada
This would be a terrible way for Purdue to get the 2019 season underway.
Jeff Brohm’s Boilermakers will begin the season with a trip to Nevada in Week 1, and an interesting battle could be on tap. Though Purdue is entering the game as -10 or -11 favorites, the Wolfpack is a capable opponent.

Nevada is coming off an 8-5 season and a win in the Arizona Bowl under head coach Jay Norvell. Add in a cross country trip for the Boilermakers and an easy win is not guaranteed.
In terms of predictions, at least one Vegas computer is predicting a tight finish and upset loss for Purdue. The prediction released by OddsShark has Nevada pulling off the surprise win by a score of 30.4-28.3:
