Purdue came up with the stop on third down. Northwestern was going to punt the ball away and the Boilermakers were going to get the chance to start the year 1-0.

And then a veteran defensive lineman made a really dumb move.

With just over two minutes left, Purdue came up with a third down stop, forcing the Wildcats to punt the ball away. But Lorenzo Neal threw a Northwestern running back to the ground, ending the game.
