It’s been just two games but Purdue receiver Jackson Anthrop is quickly becoming a fan favorite.

There’s good reason as to why Anthrop is so well liked in West Lafayette. He’s a hometown hero and Purdue has been a destination for his entire family. Basically, the Anthrop name has become synonymous with Boilermaker athletics.

But that’s not the only reason the receiver is gaining so much attention.

In Purdue’s first two games of the year, Anthrop has already caught 11 passes for 121 yards and three touchdowns. He’s the second-leading receiver for the Boilermakers as a redshirt freshman.

Two weeks into the year, Anthrop has already accomplished quite a bit. So the Purdue receiver talked with Big Ten Network about his early success and the Boilermakers’ new look offense under head coach Jeff Brohm.
