David Blough played at Purdue from 2015-18 and put up some eye-popping numbers.

The former Boilermaker threw for over 9,700 yards while amassing 69 TD to 43 INT. Blough, now a member of the Cleveland Browns, is the clear backup to former No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield.

As we all know, though, teams have to carry multiple QBs. Players do get hurt and backups have to step in and are expected to perform. Could Blough be that guy?

On Thursday night in his first NFL preseason game, Blough certainly showed some potential. Down in the red-zone on one drive, Blough threw a perfect back-shoulder pass that resulted in a Browns TD:

The Browns ended up winning the game 30-10, while Blough finished 4-of-7 for 59 yards and a TD.
