WATCH: Jeff Brohm previews Music City Bowl showdown with Auburn
Jeff Brohm has a chance to guide Purdue to back-to-back bowl wins for the first time since 1997-98.
The opponent standing in the way of the Boilermakers is the Auburn Tigers. Auburn comes into the game after a disappointing 7-5 record that saw blowout losses to Georgia and Alabama. Nevertheless, the Tigers are still a dangerous opponent to deal with.
Brohm took time to breakdown the upcoming Music City Bowl after Sunday’s announcement, and he said that the team will take some time to enjoy the experience. However, the game itself is a great challenge and opportunity for Purdue to showcase what it can accomplish:
“We’re gonna definitely enjoy it,” said Brohm, “But this is a big opportunity for us to showcase, see how good we really our against a quality opponent.”
Brohm went on to describe Auburn as a talented team full of great athletes, noting the Tigers’ strong track record in recruiting:
“Auburn’s a very talented football team,” Brohm explained. “A lot of great athletes…This is a tremendous challenge and opportunity for us because I think it’s a very talented, high-quality team.”
