The first stunner of the B1G season has arrived.

On Friday night, Purdue appeared to be coasting against Nevada in Reno. The Boilermakers built a 31-14 advantage in the second half and was in complete control of its season opener. But things took a turn.

Nevada scored 17 unanswered points to knot the game up at 31-31 in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. Then, Elijah Sindelar tossed an interception with under a minute to play in the game, giving the Wolf Pack a chance to win in regulation.

The Wolf Pack were able to get close enough to give kicker Brandon Talton a shot to win the game with a 56-yard field goal attempt. He knocked it right through the uprights, sending Nevada to a 34-31 win over Purdue.

Absolute heartbreak for Purdue.

The Boilermakers start the season 0-1. They are 0-3 in season openers under Jeff Brohm.
