Today might be the day for Purdue football.

The Boilermakers got out to a not-so-wonderful start to the season by starting 0-3, but the team has been close. Purdue has lost its first three contests by a combined 8 points.

Now, in its first matchup against a top 25 squad in No. 23 Boston College, Purdue is answering the call.

Part of the reason why the Boilermakers are up 23-7 at half is DL Kai Higgins. Higgins had an INT earlier this season, which is weird for a DL.

The 6-foot-4 pass-rusher just got his second:

Higgins has a pair of hands on him. Maybe he should start the second half on offense at wide receiver.
