Purdue opens the B1G slate this weekend with a rivalry game at home against Illinois.
The Boilermakers and the Fighting Illini play in the Battle for the Cannon this Saturday.
Purdue is 2-1 to open the season with wins over Oregon State and UConn. They lost to Notre Dame this past weekend.
Illinois is 1-3 to start the year as their lone win is against Nebraska. They have lost to UTSA, Virginia and Maryland.
Jeff Brohm spoke to reporters today ahead of Saturday’s matchup with Illinois. Brohm reiterated that QB Jack Plummer is the Boilermakers starter even after being pulled in the game against the Irish.

Brohm has liked the play of his CBs so far this season as the coaching staff was worried about the position.
