Zach Edey wins Phil Knight Legacy MVP in leading Purdue over Gonzaga, Duke
Zach Edey and the Purdue Boilermakers had a dominating performance in the Phil Knight Legacy Tournament. Purdue had an 80-68 win over West Virginia, an 84-66 win over No. 6 Gonzaga and a 75-56 win over No. 8 Duke.
Edey was named Phil Knight Legacy Tournament MVP as he averaged 22.7 points for 24-41 in field-goal attempts and 20-of-26 from the free-throw line. He also averaged 10.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game in the 3 tournament games.

Edey has been the leader in 5 of the 6 games this season for No. 24 Purdue as they have not only become key contenders for the B1G, but also for the NCAA tournament.
The closest game that Purdue has played all season is the 75-70 win over Marquette one week before the Phil Knight Legacy Tournament. The Boilermakers have been dominant in this early portion of the 2022-2023 college basketball season.
Purdue (6-0) will go on the road to take on the Florida State Seminoles (1-6) this Wednesday, November 30th.
