Purdue’s Zander Horvath has left Saturday’s game against UConn, and it looks like he will not be returning to action in Week 2.
The star running back went down in the backfield against the Huskies and had to be helped off the field after trainers checked him out. No injury has been announced at this time, but he has since been spotted on the sideline in a walking boot on his lower left leg.

Horvath is a key member of Purdue’s offense this season. He finished the Week 1 win over Oregon State with 81 yards rushing and a touchdown. Horvath also had 4 catches.
Hopefully, Horvath will be back on the field soon moving forward.
