It pays to have an elite punter.

And Greg Schiano, head coach at Rutgers, believes Adam Korsak won’t just make a difference for the Scarlet Knights in 2022, but that he’s the best punter he’s ever been around.

“Adam is the best punter that I’ve been around in 35 years,” Schiano said at B1G Media Days, via Rutgers on BTN’s Twitter account. “That’s a pretty big statement, I’ve been around a lot of them.”

Korsak hails from Melbourne, Australia and has found himself on the Ray Guy Award watchlist every season he’s spent in Piscataway, New Jersey. He was the semifinalist for the award in 2019 and a finalist and fan vote winner in 2021.

Korsak was named the top punter entering the season by Athlon Sports, Phil Steele, the Walter Camp Foundation and Sporting News. Need we go on?

Sure, why not. Korsak also earned the MVP award for special teams last year for the Scarlet Knights and has not kicked a touchback in 129 straight attempts, per MSN.
