Adam Korsak is making some Rutgers history Thursday night, taking home the program’s first-ever Ray Guy Award!

The honor is given out annually to the best punter in the nation. This year, Korsak edged out Michigan State’s Bryce Baringer and Cincinnati’s Mason Fletcher.

“This is a well-deserved honor and a great achievement,” head coach Greg Schiano said. “Adam is the best punter I’ve worked with in 35 years of coaching and really impacts the game. A three-time captain, his leadership has been just as valuable. We will miss Adam and look forward to watching him at the next level.”

Korsak’s accuracy and efficiency were on another level this season, dropping a national-best 32 punts inside the opponent’s 20-yard line. He also downed 13 punts inside the 10-yard line.
