Rutgers football received some big news Tuesday evening as wide receiver Bo Melton announced his return for the 2021 season.

He released a minute-long video on his personal Twitter page with highlights from this past season and then confirming he’ll be back. Melton also went with the “Revenge Tour” moniker in his tweet:

This past season was Melton’s best of his career to date. He had 46 receptions for 635 yards and six touchdowns. He also averaged 13.8 yards per receptions for the Scarlet Knights.

Melton also had a couple of rushing touchdowns this past season on 69 yards rushing. In total, he had 704 yards from scrimmage with eight touchdowns.

In the 2019 season, he had 30 receptions for 427 yards and two touchdowns. His yards per reception that season was actually a bit higher at 14.2.

2018 was his sophomore season and he still had 245 yards receiving on 28 receptions. He didn’t have a touchdown but he was also just scratching the surface.

It’s likely that Melton will set another career-high next season in terms of yards and receptions as he prepares for the next year’s NFL Draft. For now, head coach Greg Schiano has to be happy to have Melton for another year.
