Busy week continues, Rutgers lands fourth commitment of the week in 2021 class
It’s been a busy week on the recruiting trail for Rutgers. During this week, the Scarlet Knights have already received four verbal pledges.
Three-star athlete and Pennsylvania native Cam’Ron Stewart is the most recent prospect in the 2021 class to commit to Greg Schiano’s squad. He announced his commitment on Friday, giving the Scarlet Knights seven commits in the class.
Stewart is a 6-foot-4, 225-pound strong-side defensive end in the 2021 class. He does not have any rankings in 247Sports’ Composite formula, but the website has given him the three-star rating.
“I would like to say thank you to all of the college coaches who saw something in me! Thank you,” Stewart wrote on Twitter. “I have decided to further my college education and football career at RUTGERS UNIVERSITY.”

Stewart is the fourth player to commit within the last 48 hours.
Rutgers’ recruiting class currently ranks 20th nationally and seventh in the B1G.
Earlier this week, the Scarlet Knights have received commitments from three New Jersey prospects: Shaquan Loyal, Al-Shadee Salaam, and Jordan Thompson.
Stewart received seven additional offers along with Rutgers. Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Syracuse, Kent State, Temple and Toledo also showed interest in the defensive end.
