Rutgers star out for Wisconsin game
Rutgers will be without its top offensive option on Saturday.
The Scarlet Knights announced that star wide receiver Leonte Carroo will be out for Saturday’s game against Wisconsin.
The senior suffered an ankle injury two weeks ago and was sidelined for the second half of the Ohio State game last week. Without Carroo in the fold, Rutgers suffered its worst loss of the season to the No. 1 Buckeyes.
It isn’t the first time the Scarlet Knights have been without Carroo. He was suspended twice earlier in the season for a curfew violation and for domestic violence charges.
Carroo leads the B1G with nine receiving touchdowns. He has only played in 16 total quarters this season.
Wisconsin will also be without its top deep threat in Robert Wheelwright, who was hurt last week against Illinois.
