Rutgers announced on Wednesday that it has reinstated suspended receiver Leonte Carroo after assault charges against him were dropped on Tuesday.

Interim coach Norries Wilson declined to comment on whether or not Carroo would be inserted into the lineup if and when he was reinstated.

The Rutgers wideout was arrested in September for domestic violence charges following an incident with two females outside of the team’s practice facility. Carroo was suspended indefinitely before the pending charges were made public. He was accused of “slamming a woman’s head into concrete.”

As a result, the conference’s top returning receiver missed the team’s last two games. The school’s all-time leader in touchdown catches has seven receptions for 181 yards and three touchdowns in two games of action this year.

The Scarlet Knights are coming off a bye week and will take on No. 4 Michigan State on Saturday in New Jersey.
