Chris Ash responds to being fired by Rutgers

Rutgers decided it was time to move on from Chris Ash Sunday.
After another blowout loss within the B1G, Rutgers took the opportunity to part ways with Ash. The high point for the Ash era came in 2017 when the Scarlet Knights went 4-8.

Unfortunately, that season was sandwiched between a two-win season in 2016 and a one-win season in 2018. Ash ends his time at Rutgers with an overall record of 8-32 and just three B1G wins.

Following the announcement, Ash took to Twitter Sunday evening following his removal. He offered a classy response, thanking the Rutgers administration for the opportunity to serve the Scarlet Knights.

Hopefully, the Scarlet Knights can find the right coach to lead them back to a bowl for the first time since 2014.
