Mike Ciaffoni is moving on to the third team of his collegiate career.

The defensive lineman is now heading to New Jersey to play for Rutgers. His career started with Boston College in 2019, where he played in 2 games and then redshirted. He was a 3-star recruit from Lincoln-Sudbury High School in Sudbury, Massachusetts per the 247 Sports Composite. He is listed as 6-foot-3, 265 pounds.

He got more playing time at Colorado State, appearing in 6 games for the Rams in 2021. He moved to CSU to join his former Boston College head coach Steve Addazio. Addazio was fired in December of 2021 after going 4-12 in 2 years as the head coach of the Rams.

Ciaffoni posted about his commitment to the Scarlet Knights from his Twitter account on Tuesday.

Ciaffoni was a redshirt sophomore this season and will now be heading to the B1G with a few years of eligibility left.

In his 6 games with Colorado State, he had 1 assisted tackle, 1 total tackle, and 0.5 tackles for loss. More recently, Rutgers added West Virginia WR Sean Ryan and Sacred Heart OT J.D. DiRenzo from the transfer portal.
