Laviano was one of three quarterbacks to transfer from Rutgers in the offseason, along with Hayden Rettig and Mike Dare.
In 2016, Laviano started in seven games but struggled to get into any rhythm. He completed just 70-of-145 passes for 748 yards and five touchdowns. He was replaced by Giovanni Rescigno in the final five games of the year.
For his career, Laviano has appeared in 24 games. He threw for 3,102 yards and 21 touchdowns while completing 55.8 percent of his passes.
