Disappointment swept across the B1G on Tuesday, when the league became the first Power 5 conference to announce it was postponing college football and all fall sports. Instead, it will attempt to move forward with a spring schedule.

Players, coaches, staff and fans from across the conference’s 14 schools were all disappointed by the news. For at least another six months, there will be no college football in the B1G.

And that’s only if the league works out a spring season.

On Friday, just a few days after the B1G made its final call on fall sports, Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano sent out a message to Scarlet Knights fans across the country. His emphasis? There are bigger things happening in the world right now, and football is not the top priority.

However, when it’s safe to return, Schiano says the Scarlet Knights will work to be the best they can be, and he expects to see a full stadium in Piscataway. Below is the video Rutgers shared on Friday:
