Greg Schiano hoping Rutgers uses blowout loss to Ohio State for upcoming matchup vs. Michigan State
After starting the 2021 season with a 3-0 record, Rutgers has since suffered a two-game losing streak at No. 9 Michigan and vs. No. 7 Ohio State. Last Saturday, Rutgers suffered a tough 52-13 loss at home to Ohio State. Most coaches would have their team move on, but not Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano.
When asked if the team is putting behind the tough loss to Ohio State, Schiano said, “I hope not… You get to work and, hopefully, those kinds of things fuel you a little bit and get you cranking here early in the week.”

There is no doubt that Schiano is a perfectionist when it comes to his football team. He was asked a question regarding if they feel accomplished to lose by only one possession, Schiano responded that he doesn’t want close losses.
Schiano is looking to use this loss against Ohio State to prepare his team for another tough matchup, this time at home against No. 11 Michigan State this upcoming Saturday.
