Better late than never.
Because of issues with the COVID-19 pandemic, Rutgers was forced to delay the start of spring practice and push back the date of its spring game. Thursday night, the Scarlet Knights tied a bow on spring ball under the lights at SHI Stadium.
Thursday marked the conclusion of the first spring practice schedule under head coach Greg Schiano, as the team missed all of spring ball a year ago due to the pandemic. After a 3-6 season a year ago, the Scarlet Knights are looking to build a more competitive team and fight for bowl eligibility in 2021.
During the spring game, there were plenty of things to like from both sides of the football. There were also some things to clean up, too. Here’s a look at some of the highlights from Rutgers’ spring game on Thursday night:
