When a team loses 52-0 to a conference opponent — anyone really — there’s usually not much to be too impressed with. But Jim Harbaugh thought Artur Sitkowski was a diamond in the rough for Rutgers on Saturday.

Rutgers was shutout on Saturday, the second time in as many B1G games this season. The Scarlet Knights were also held scoreless in a 30-0 loss to Iowa. There was really no offense to speak of, but Harbaugh was still pretty impress with the toughness he saw from the Rutgers quarterback.

“I was impressed with Artur,” Harbaugh said, according to Keith Sargeant of NJ.com. “He’s a tough kid, made some plays, took some shots, but kept coming back. That was impressive.”

Sitkowski finished the day completing 17-of-24 pass attempts for 106 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions. He did get sacked twice and didn’t have much mobility against a sound Wolverines defense.

He also got hit several times after getting rid of the football.

That doesn’t mean much for Rutgers, and Harbaugh’s praise likely won’t resonate too well after a 52-0 loss, but if there’s anything positive to take away from the game, at least the Scarlet Knights have a tough kid under center.
