Kansas is favored to defeat Rutgers, first time Jayhawks are supposed to beat Power 5 school since 2009
Kansas football has been a disaster recently.
In the last eight years, the Jayhawks have only won 15 games. And not all of those wins have come over Power 5 schools and Big 12 opponents in particular.
Those don’t happen to often. And, Vegas knows this.
For Week 3 of the 2018 season, Kansas is set to host Rutgers. And by what seems like a miracle, the Jayhawks are actually favored to beat the Scarlet Knights.

This is the first time Kansas has been favored at home vs. a Power 5 school since 2009. In 2009, the Jayhawks went 5-7. That was the last year they have won at least 4 games.
Currently, Rutgers is 1-1 on the season. So is Kansas. Rutgers beat Texas State in Week 1.
And Kansas beat Central Michigan in Week 2 after losing to an FCS school in Nicholls to open the season.
Neither team is regarded as being great, but one team has to win.
And Vegas is saying that the Jayhawks should be 2-1 to start the season.
