Kyle Monangai and Rutgers have trailed Michigan State all afternoon, including an 18-point deficit in the third quarter. However, the Scarlet Knights have rallied behind a ferocious defense with Manangai capping the comeback in the fourth quarter.

Since falling behind 24-6, Rutgers has capitalized with a fumble recovered in the end zone and a pair of quick offensive scores to go on a 21-0 run against the Spartans. The most recent drive came on the heels of another miscue for MSU and required just one play.

That play was a 21-yard carry for Monangai with some dazzling moves as he dashed to give Rutgers a lead. We’ll see if this one holds up, but the Scarlet Knights have since forced a punt and have a chance to put this game away in the fourth quarter.

Monangai has since gone over 100 yards as Rutgers rides its star running back, but his touchdown is currently his most important play of the day.
