Report: Ex-Rutgers OC being targeted to join Oregon staff
A former Rutgers offensive coordinator is reportedly a strong candidate to land on the Oregon Staff. Yahoo’s Pete Thamel reported the news on Thursday.
Oregon head coach Dan Lanning is reportedly targeting Drew Mehringer to become the tight ends coach for the Ducks. He was previously the offensive coordinator at Rutgers, serving in that role under then-head coach Chris Ash in 2016.
Mehringer also had a stop at Ohio State as a graduate assistant from 2012-13.
