The Rutgers coaching staff is now in place.

According to a report from NJ.com, head coach Greg Schiano has hired the program’s next special teams coordinator, rounding out the staff for the 2020 season. The final piece is in place with a week remaining until the final signing day for the 2020 recruiting class.

Per the report, Adam Scheier will be the next special teams coordinator for the Scarlet Knights. Scheier comes to Rutgers after spending the 2019 season as a special teams consultant for Joe Moorhead’s staff at Mississippi State. He was at Texas Tech in 2018 and spent the 2017 season at Ohio State.

Scheier has also had stops at Columbia, Princeton, Lehigh, Bowling Green and Wake Forest. He’s been involved with special teams for most of his career on the sidelines.

With the reported hire, Schiano’s 10-member staff is now set and ready for the start of winter conditioning and spring practice in the coming weeks.
