Report: Greg Schiano looking to shake up Rutgers offensive staff
It’s being reported that Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano is looking to shake up the offensive staff this offseason. The news comes after the Scarlet Knights struggled to put points on the scoreboard last season during a 5-8 campaign.
Per Football Scoop, Schiano is expected to make some moves on the offensive staff, with a primary focus of improving the offensive line. Running backs coach Augie Hoffman is expected to move to offensive line to help the program along that front.
Andrew Aurich has been coaching the offensive line for the Scarlet Knights for the past two seasons. He joined the Rutgers staff after working with offensive coordinator Sean Gleeson at Princeton.
It’s unclear if that is the only change Schiano plans to make for the upcoming season.
Rutgers averaged just 19.7 points per game during the 2021 season, ranking 120th nationally. The Scarlet Knights also ranked 120th in total offense, averaging 311.2 yards per contest.
