Chris Ash is back on the market for a cornerbacks coach, according to a report.

FootballScoop reported that Henry Baker, who had agreed to return to Rutgers as the cornerbacks coach in mid-December, has decided to leave the program for a job with the NFL’s New York Giants. This would’ve been Baker’s second stint on Ash’s staff.

Baker is expected to become an assistant defensive backs coach with the Giants.

Baker was a member of Rutgers’ staff in 2017, also serving as the cornerbacks coach. After one year in Piscataway, he joined Larry Fedora at North Carolina, but was not retained after the university fired the head coach.

Prior to his first stint at Rutgers, Baker spent six seasons at the University of Delaware.
