Rutgers freshman wide receiver/defensive back Brayden Fox has decided to explore his options outside of Piscataway. He spent only a few months with the program.

The Knight Report reported on Tuesday that Fox has decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal. He was a member of the Scarlet Knights’ 2021 recruiting class and enrolled in January. Fox’s decision comes a month after Rutgers concluded the spring football season.

Per 247Sports, Fox was a 3-star prospect out of Akron, Ohio and was ranked as one of the Top 60 players in the state. He initially committed to Rutgers to play wide receiver but was moved to the secondary before spring ball in an effort to establish depth for the upcoming season.

It’s unclear where Fox will transfer, but 10 other programs did extend an offer. Air Force, Akron, Army, Ball State, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Liberty, Miami (OH), Michigan State and Western Michigan all showed interest in Fox.
