News has come out about some player availability for Rutgers with the season opener coming up. 3 players will reportedly not be suiting up for the Scarlet Knights per ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Rutgers will be without QB Noah Vedral, TE Matt Alaimo, and RB Aaron Young. Vedral was expected to be the starting QB for Rutgers this season. When Alaimo and Young get healthy, they should also have a great impact on the offense.

Alaimo will have a part in the TE rotation, while Young led the team in touchdowns last season with 6 (5 rushing, 1 receiving). All of the players are listed as week-to-week, according to Thamel.

The Scarlet Knights with be taking on Boston College regardless. Greg Schiano will be expected to play multiple quarterbacks against the Eagles as well. There is no further information about the injuries at this time.

Rutgers faces Boston College Saturday at noon ET on ACC Network.
