Rutgers has been much improved in Greg Schiano’s second stint with the Scarlet Knights.

The Scarlet Knights are 3-2 on the season and have wins over Temple, Syracuse and FCS Delaware. Their 2 losses are against No. 9 Michigan and No. 7 Ohio State.

Rutgers got some bad news on Tuesday as CB Davison Igbinosun has de-committed from the team.

Igbinosun is a 6-foot-2 185-pound CB from Union, N.J. He is a 3-star recruit, the No. 40 CB in the country, and the No. 5 CB in the state of New Jersey, class of 2022 according to 247sports composite rankings.

Rutgers is ranked No. 19 nationally in recruiting for 2022 and No. 5 in the B1G. Rutgers has 15 commits in the class of 2022 and 5 4-star recruits.

The 4 teams ahead of Rutgers in the B1G recruiting rankings for the class of 2022 are Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State.

Rutgers is catching up in the  B1G East at least on the recruiting trail.

Rutgers has 2 AP Top-25 opponents left on the schedule No. 11 Michigan State and No. 4 Penn State.
