In the grand scheme of things, what does a random Tuesday mean during the college football season?

Well, it could be when your favorite team adds the next Jonathan Taylor at running back. Welcome to the world of recruiting.

And on Tuesday, for Rutgers, the Scarlet Knights may have just gotten a verbal commitment from their next Jonathan Taylor.

Kay’Ron Adams announced his decision Tuesday night on Twitter that he is set to become a member of the Scarlet Knights. According to 247Sports, Adams is a 3-star prospect who ranks as the No. 76 RB in the Class of 2019.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound back is from Warren, Ohio. Adams currently owns 10 scholarship offers, including from programs like Cincinnati, Toledo and others.

With Adams’ commitment, Rutgers’ 2019 class now ranks No. 57 nationally and No. 12 in the Big Ten. Adams is also the team’s first RB to verbally commit.
