Rutgers will be seeing a familiar foe in the coming seasons.

The Scarlet Knights have announced a two-game home-and-home series with Syracuse to be played in 2020 and 2021. Rutgers will host the game in 2020 with Syracuse hosting the second game of the series in 2021.

Between 1980 and 2012, the two schools faced off for 33 consecutive seasons. The school released the following statement from head coach Chris Ash:

“Returning the Rutgers-Syracuse series, which has a long history will be exciting for both fan bases. With our non-conference schedule, we have focused on adding games that showcase great football in this region.”

Rutgers had a new opening in its future schedule after UCLA recently dropped out of two games.
